Story of Edgar Sawtelle, by David Wroblewski. HarperCollins, 2008.
A captivating, heartwarming novel, this is without a doubt one of the most powerful, well-written fiction books I have read. Once you begin to read it, you are addicted, going back as quickly as you can to read further. Although much of this novel is about dogs, at the end of the book you will realize that it is not just about dogs, but about the complicated relationships between family members and other humans, and their canine companions.
