Today is one month since we brought our new baby home and I can’t tell you how thankful we are! He is doing so well and has really settled in. I took him to see the physical therapist last week and she gave me some exercises to work on and showed me how to massage his leg. I’m going to follow-up with her toward the end of November. She wants us to work on increasing his range of motion and on building muscle. One exercise she suggested for resistance training was to take him to doggie beach to walk in the water…. you’ll see from the attached picture, there was no walking in the water. He was in heaven! He was leaping and bounding all over the place…. it was hilarious! He was so happy, it choked me up!

That’s it for now. I’ll keep you posted on his progress.

 Take care,

 Dawn

He is really is doing great! We all love him so very much already…. he definitely has stolen my heart. I know that if Maggie could talk even she would agree…. she acts so “motherly” toward him. I believe Marley has now met every dog in the neighborhood. Our walks in the evening are taking quite a long time since we have had to stop and greet everyone along the way. It’s 1.4 miles around and last night it took me 1 1/2 hours to complete. 🙂 We have so many dog lovers in my neighborhood, I just love it!

Our vet also said to keep him slim. He’s 44.5 now and the vet said he wants him to stay between 45 and 50 pounds. He’ll be my “little” boy! My vet also told me that they have a physical therapist there now that he spoke very highly of. I plan to make an appointment with her and I’m hoping she’ll be able to teach me some exercises to keep Marley in good shape and hopefully avoid later issues with that shoulder. I’m also going to try to work on getting him in the pool this weekend.

Thank you so much for our beautiful new addition and thank you for all you do!
