Would you love to adopt a Golden? Or perhaps you’d like to become a rescue hero by fostering one? Information is key!
Please read these Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)BEFORE submitting your application.
If you are sure that you can commit to giving a Golden the forever home it deserves, we’d love to hear from you! After we receive your application we’ll be in touch with you within 24-48 hours. Applicants must live within the EGRR territory, which consists of the following counties: Indian River, St. Lucie, Martin, Palm Beach, Broward, Miami-Dade, and Monroe. Applicants outside of this area will ONLY be considered for senior and/or special needs dogs, and bonded pairs.
Cost:

  • Adoption applicants- There is a $10 non-refundable adoption application fee payable through PayPal. ** please take note of your PayPal transaction confirmation number as you will be required to enter in the Adoption/Foster Application form below.
  • Foster applicants – Adoption application fee is waived; however, if while fostering an EGRR golden you decide to adopt, the application fee will be added to the adoption fee.
  • Former adopters – If you are only updating information, the adoption application fee is waived but you must call the Hotline at 954.748.3507 to determine how to update your information.

Adoption/Foster application

Note: We charge adoption fees to help pay the vet bills of the goldens we rescue (and boarding for lack of foster homes!). These are as follows:

* > 4 mo — $500
* 4 mo – < 4 yrs — $400
* 4 yrs – < 8 yrs — $300
* 8 – < 10 — $200
* 10 + and Special Needs — donation requested
