Dug

Dug

I don’t know how good this pic is going to come through but it’s one of my favorites of DUG because it shows his peaceful face.  I wanted to post something on the memorial tributes page for him.  There is so much I can say about how much I loved my best friend and how much joy he brought to me and my mother but it was expressed by so many others that knew what a truly special boy he was.  I took DUG to get non anesthetic teeth cleaning and he came back with a “report card” with smiley faces drawn all over it and one comment was that she wishes all her patients were like DUG.  Apparently he fell asleep in her lap while she was cleaning his teeth.  A groomer commented that he had such good energy and after he passed some family friends wrote a letter to us about DUG, that he was a very special dog who would give up his bed to a cat, take neighbors and friends into his home in trade for a little loving and they weren’t sure who was calmed more by the attention DUG or them.  I spent the majority of my day with DUG lying by my side when I was working, walking by my side during our daily walks, playing at the dog park and restful sleep together.  He truly was my best buddy and I miss him dearly.  I have a huge empty spot in my life without him but I am so lucky and thankful to have had our short time to be best buddies.
Thank you,
