Meet Roxy!  She’s a very special little Golden girl, weighing only about 36 lbs.  At the age of 9, she is as active as a young dog.  She loves long walks, running, playing fetch, and most of all, swimming.  She has even learned to dock dive! She loves other dogs and loves everyone she meets.

EGRR has a clause in our contract stating that if at any time, the adoptive family cannot keep their dog, the dog must be returned to us.  Roxy was returned when her heartbroken “Mom” developed such severe allergies that she had to carry an epi-pen. She adopted Roxy back in 2018, when she was about 2, and gave her a wonderful home.

She is very loving and wants to be at your side at all times.  She knows her basic commands and is completely potty trained.  Her vet exam showed Roxy to be a very healthy girl, as healthy as a much younger dog.  Since she has lived with another dog and cats, a home with other animals would be fine for her too. 

Roxy’s only bad habit is that she is a “counter surfer” and needs to be trained not to take things off the counter.  This is not a difficult thing to do; her former owner just let her get away with it, but in a new environment, she can easily learn that this behavior is unacceptable.
